Having only taken up running at the age of 40, she quickly progressed to marathons before turning to Ultras as rebellion for being given a bus pass at 60.

8 years on and she has completed 6 trail 100’s, several shorter Ultras and numerous 24 hour races. The Tooting 24 hour track race marked her 9th 24 hour race and her best yet – she clocked 115.9 miles, finishing 11th overall and 1st lady! If that wasn’t enough, she broke the World Age Best Performance for W65 by 10km and reached 100 miles at 20 hours 1 minute,  1 hour faster than the previous record. She believes that by continuing to run shorter distance races (1 mile, 5k and 10k) it improves her pace over the longer distances.
