It’s been an incredible week for the RunThrough community, filled with fantastic events across city parks, historic venues, and challenging trails. From Halloween night races to sold-out trail marathons, runners of all abilities showed up ready to challenge themselves and celebrate the spirit of running. Here’s a look back at the highlights from the week!
31st October – Chase The Moon Olympic Park 5k & 10k
Halloween night brought us the Chase The Moon Olympic Park race, where runners embraced the spooky season and took on a fast, flat course under the moonlit sky. Many runners sported fun Halloween costumes whilst racing under the lights of the iconic Olympic Park. Whether chasing a personal best or enjoying the festive vibe, it was an unforgettable night of racing!
2nd November – Greenwich Park 5k & 10k
On Saturday, we returned to Greenwich Park, a venue that never fails to impress with its stunning views over London. Known for its challenging hills, this course tested runners but rewarded them with a fantastic route through one of the city’s most historic parks. It was a beautiful autumn morning, with runners enjoying the crisp air and golden leaves as they raced towards the finish.
3rd November – Leicestershire Running Festival 5k, 10k & Half Marathon
Sunday took us to the countryside for the Leicestershire Running Festival, offering 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon distances. Runners enjoyed a varied course with rolling hills and views of the Leicestershire landscape. The festival had a brilliant atmosphere, with participants of all levels coming together for a day of running, camaraderie, and community support.
3rd November – Hertfordshire Half Marathon & 10k
Over at Knebworth House, the Hertfordshire Half Marathon & 10k combined history with a fast, closed-road course that took runners through the rural surroundings. With the stunning Knebworth House as the start and finish line backdrop, this event was truly memorable. Runners pushed through the chilly autumn morning, cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd, and crossed the finish line to claim their well-earned medals.
3rd November – RunThrough Trails Delamere Forest 10k, Half Marathon & Marathon – SOLD OUT
In the heart of Cheshire, Delamere Forest provided the perfect setting for a sold-out trail event with 10k, Half Marathon, and Marathon distances. With winding forest trails, natural beauty, and challenging terrain, this event was a true test for trail enthusiasts. The event’s sold-out status highlighted just how much the trail running community loves this location. Runners navigated the forest paths with determination, tackling every twist, turn, and hill that Delamere had to offer.
3rd November – RunThrough Trails Wimbledon Common Half Marathon & 10k
Back in London, Wimbledon Common hosted runners for a morning of off-road racing. The winding woodland paths and iconic scenery made for an enjoyable, challenging course, with both 10k and Half Marathon runners embracing the peaceful trails. Wimbledon Common’s friendly atmosphere and natural beauty made it a perfect close to an action-packed weekend.

From the spooky thrills at Olympic Park to the serene trails of Delamere Forest, last week’s events truly showcased the diversity and excitement that RunThrough brings to the running community. Whether chasing a PB, tackling a new distance, or simply soaking in the race-day atmosphere, our runners once again proved that every event is a celebration of dedication, spirit, and community.
