What an incredible week of running it’s been! From iconic city parks to thrilling relay races, runners across the UK came together to chase their goals and enjoy some fantastic race-day experiences. Let’s take a look back at the highlights from the past week with RunThrough:

18th September – Gateley Chase The Sun Hyde Park 5k & 10k

We kicked off the week in style with the Gateley Chase The Sun event at Hyde Park. As always, this midweek race gave runners the chance to take on 5k or 10k distances in one of London’s most iconic parks. With the sun setting over the city, runners raced through the scenic paths, taking in the late-summer evening atmosphere. Whether chasing PBs or just enjoying a midweek run, Hyde Park provided the perfect backdrop for a great night.

21st September – Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 5k & 10k

On Saturday, we headed to the historic grounds of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for another exciting 5k and 10k event. Runners tackled this flat, fast course, with the energy of the 2012 Olympic Games still present in every step. The Olympic Park always brings an inspiring atmosphere, and this race was no different—plenty of PBs were smashed as runners crossed the finish line, cheered on by friends, family, and the RunThrough community.

22nd September – Warrington Running Festival

Sunday brought one of the most anticipated events of the month: the Warrington Running Festival. Runners took on 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon distances, with the streets of Warrington filled with supporters. This community-driven event had something for everyone, from elite athletes taking part in the Top Flight 10k to first-time runners, all racing through fully closed roads with amazing crowd support. Warrington never disappoints, and this year’s festival truly embodied the spirit of RunThrough, bringing people together for an unforgettable day of running.

22nd September – Richmond Park Half Marathon

Also on Sunday, we headed to the stunning Richmond Park for the Half Marathon. Known for its breathtaking scenery and challenging hills, Richmond Park offered runners a unique and rewarding race experience. From the undulating terrain to the spectacular views over London, this race was a test of endurance but delivered a huge sense of achievement for those crossing the finish line. Whether chasing a time or simply enjoying the beauty of the park, runners left Richmond Park with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

22nd September – Chariots of Fire 6 Person Relay

The week finished off in Cambridge with the Chariots of Fire 6 Person Relay. This unique event brought teams of six together to race around the historic streets of Cambridge, inspired by the iconic film Chariots of Fire. It wasn’t just about individual achievement, but teamwork and camaraderie, as runners passed the baton and pushed each other to the finish line. The relay format added a fun twist to the traditional race day, and the historic setting made it a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
