Parkside Primary School
Parkside Primary School were all devastated when we learned that one of our teachers was diagnosed with Lymphoma in April 2020. We had been fortunate to be allocated a school place in the London Marathon that year – it didn’t go ahead due to Covid but this teacher was going to run it for us. It was at this point that I did the Couch to 5k with a view to raise money for Lymphoma Action.
Runthrough races have been amazing during training. Other staff also got involved and joined me and that is why a charity run is very fitting to the cause. The teacher has now recovered and is now back at school and ran in this event with us. We are so thankful to everyone that contributed to his recovery and hope that what we raise will continue to helps others in future.
