Training for your first ever running event? We LOVE seeing first-timers here at RunThrough and we thought we would share our ‘first race day’ tips!<\/div>\n

1. Prepare for everything.
\nMake sure you are meticulous in preparing your kit and training for all types of weather\/terrain and situation. It is one less thing you have to worry about if you have put in the homework!
\n.
\n2. Connect with other runners.
\nJoin a running club or reach out to those who may be training for the same event, or the same distance and swap tips and tricks. It always feels better when there is someone in the same situation as you! <\/span>
\n.
\n3. Follow a plan\/get a coach. <\/span>
\nSometimes having a little bit of help will bring you confidence in what you are doing, plus it is great knowing you have someone on your sidelines!<\/p><\/div>\n
