As we head into October, we’ve got an exciting lineup of events taking place across some of the UK’s most scenic locations. From picturesque park runs to challenging trail adventures, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re chasing a PB, enjoying a family-friendly event, or pushing your limits. 5th October – Tatton Park 5k & 10k

We kick off the weekend with the stunning Tatton Park 5k & 10k. Known for its flat and fast course, Tatton Park offers runners the perfect opportunity to achieve a personal best while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of this historic park. Whether you’re tackling the 5k or going for the 10k, you’ll be treated to gorgeous lakeside views and plenty of open space to stretch your legs.

5th October – Greenwich Park 5k, 10k & Juniors

Also on Saturday, we head to the iconic Greenwich Park for the 5k, 10k, and Junior races. This event is ideal for runners of all ages and abilities. With its hills and stunning views over London, Greenwich Park offers a unique running experience that will leave you feeling accomplished. The Junior race makes it a great family day out, with younger runners getting their chance to shine!

6th October – Victoria Park 5k, 10k & Half Marathon – SOLD OUT

The Victoria Park 5k, 10k & Half Marathon is officially SOLD OUT! For those lucky enough to have secured a spot, this event promises a fantastic race day experience. With its fast, flat course through one of London’s most popular parks, Victoria Park is the ideal place for runners to chase a new PB. If you missed out this time, don’t worry—there are plenty more chances to race at this iconic venue in the future.

6th October – Jarrow 10k

The Jarrow 10k returns, offering runners the chance to follow in the footsteps of running legend Steve Cram. Starting and finishing on the historic Monkton Athletics Track, this flat, fast, and road-closed course is perfect for runners looking to push their pace. With the support of the Jarrow and Hebburn Athletic Club and Nuffield Health Newcastle Hospital, this event celebrates the rich running history of the North East and promises an exceptional race day experience for all. This event is also included in the Top Flight elite race series, which will see runners battle it out on the course to gain valuable Top Flight points, World Athletics points and a chance to gain a portion of the £4000 prize purse.

6th October – Run Dorney Marathon & Half Marathon

For those ready to take on the ultimate challenge, the Run Dorney Marathon & Half Marathon is the place to be on Sunday. Set against the backdrop of Dorney Lake, the flat, looped course provides a fast route, making it perfect for marathoners and half marathoners alike. Whether you’re going for a new PB or just aiming to cross the finish line, this race offers a supportive atmosphere in a beautiful location.

12th October – RunThrough Trails Ladybower Reservoir Presented by The North Face and SportsShoes

We’re back on the trails with the Ladybower Reservoir event, presented by The North Face and SportsShoes. Set in the heart of the Peak District, this trail run offers breathtaking views and a chance to connect with nature. Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or new to off-road running, this event is sure to challenge and inspire you as you take on one of the most scenic routes in the UK.

12th October – Lee Valley VeloPark 1 Mile, 5k, 10k, 10 Miles & Half Marathon

On the same day, we’re heading to the Lee Valley VeloPark for a variety of distances—1 Mile, 5k, 10k, 10 Miles, and Half Marathon. With multiple race options, this event is perfect for all runners, whether you’re testing your speed over a mile or going the distance in the half marathon. The VeloPark’s closed-road course makes for a smooth, fast run, ideal for anyone looking to push themselves and set a new PB.

13th October – Cannock Chase Running Festival 5k, 10k & Half Marathon

We wrap up the week at the beautiful Cannock Chase, one of the most picturesque locations in the Midlands. The Cannock Chase Running Festival offers 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon distances, giving runners the opportunity to enjoy the stunning forest trails. With undulating terrain and breathtaking views, this event is perfect for anyone looking to escape the city and enjoy a challenging yet rewarding race through nature.
