Mike Hawthorne AKA Happy Deaf Mike is a RunThrough LEGEND! Over the years he has joined us at hundreds of races and is on track to get his thousandth medal in just a couple of years! However his journey has not been without its challenges having suffered a major heart attack. NUTRITION ADVICE
With many of you ranking up the mileage this month, and the temperatures are gradually rising, you may not feel as hungry post-run… but fuelling pre and post session will benefit not only your training, but your health.
If you notice any of the signs below then it may be worth looking at what you’re eating in a day of training to make sure that you are not missing out on some important calories. It is easy to fit in small calorie dense snacks before and after your run if you know that you will be in between meals. Watch out for the signs and keep running strong!
