Does it take you plenty of time to get out the door, only to be super glad you got out there but wish it hadn’t taken you so long? Check out our top tips for procrastinators…
Get your clothes ready.
If the clothes are ready to be put on, you are less likely to take your time finding the right outfit for your run. Get them ready on the evening so you can slip them on and get out the door in record time!
Think of the positives.
Do you forget about those feel-good endorphins when you’re raring yourself up to go? Remember what it will feel like when you’re coming back and how much you will enjoy that feeling. The sooner you get out, the sooner you will have those feelings!
Get a fab playlist or podcast ready.
Set up a list of podcasts you want to listen to so you can get it logged in before you have to fiddle about with your phone. Or get a playlist ready with all your favourite songs, one for every mood that you are in!
Ring a friend.
Running is always great when you can be with others. If having the responsability of running with a friend will get you out the door, plan a weekly run with a friend and stick to the same time every week. You will be more inclined to get out the door!
Freya Morgan AKA ‘The Human Disco Ball’ is running 2500KMs with the goal of raising £120,000 for refugees and asylum seekers by June … all dressed as a disco ball! You may have seen Freya at our events in the South and even taken part in her disco ball warm ups. She is an incredibly inspirational individual who has a real passion for running, which she discovered after her own battles with her mental health.
